Waylaid

I've been waylaid these last two weeks. This time of year is always a bit hectic at work, and this year seemed to be much worse. I'm not exactly sure why it was, but that's the way it went.

Yesterday was the end of the first major headache at work. I have a deadline for another project today, but it's almost done, so I can breathe a little easier.

Well, not literally breathe easier since bronchitis has seen fit to take up residence in my lungs again. I had a fever two nights ago that never went over 100, so hopefully that's a good sign. I've been getting a lot of sleep at night since this took hold, so maybe that's helped. Just some crackling in the lungs and light coughing. Nothing major this time around. Let us hope it stays this way.

We were in a winter weather advisory last night, expecting to get some snowy-rain mix. They cancelled said advisory before 9:30 last night, but some schools had already been cancelled (not The Girl's thankfully), and The Wife's work had a delayed start until 9:30. Lucky.

Anyway, before things start blowing up around here again, I should go.

Have great weekends, everyone.

Yeah, we woke up to nothing here. So disappointing.

We have snow over here today, but it melts as soon as it hits the pavements...

At least you're getting lots of sleep. I dealt with driving in snow for the first time in my life yesterday. It was terrifying. Glad you don't have to go through it.

My hubby is sooooo sick too... the coughing is awful! I don't know how I've escaped it...

You get better, Joshua. And keep the writing pumping. We're all rooting for you!

I feel like there's a reason we're supposed to hibernate in the winter. Glad you're on the mend.

Boo on sickness! And boo on work being cray. Mine's been liked that for 2 weeks. I've barely been online at all because of it. Sigh

We're having a heat wave - it's in the 40's today:)

Glad your projects are going well. Get some rest this weekend and you'll be right as rain.

Glad to hear the coughing has been light, and not those super huge chest crackers that can happen.

What is this "snow" you speak of?

Ugh, nothing like being sick to add additional pressure to your life.

Hope you get well soon.

Ouch; hope you get to feeling better Dude.

I'm still feeling way behind at work due to on girl quitting, one out on medical leave, and all the county thinking its a good time to apply for aid. Life is a cycle, right? Things do calm down.

i firmly believe that nothing forced is worth a damn - especially when it comes to writing. So, my friend, take all the time you need and only tap those keys when you are fully inspired.

get well soon too! ((hugs))

Poor thing- hope you're feeling better. I've been like it for about a week now, and it's no fun! First time to get out and about today - and as you saw on FB - I was straight into a compost bin :)

We had a bit of slushy-snow, but more than anything, it's cold!
Take care

Plenty of rest, Mister!
There was some snow where we were, but not enough for a day off work :(

You know what helps bronchitis? Running around outside in your underwear screaming "I am a fancy boy".

Ah, you Southerners, canceling school because of a weather _forecast_. When I was in high school, there was a blizzard so bad that one of my classmates (who normally walked to school) came to school on skis in protest of school not having been cancelled.
Then again, your lack of salt trucks does make a light snow quite a bit more hazardous (I learned while in South Carolina, immediately after having mocked South Carolinians for panicking over an inch of snow.
