New Shows
Revolution - This one is highest on my list. Takes place 15 years after an event wiped out all advanced technology on the planet. Car engines, jet engines, batteries, and computers all turned off permanently. A world without technology, collapse of public order, areas ruled by warlords and militia. Centers around the Matheson family who are in possession of an item that is the key to discovering what happened, and possibly a way to reverse it. Airs Mondays starting September 17.
Vegas - Set in the 1960's and centered around Sheriff Ralph Lamb and his dealings with mobster Vincent Savino who has moved west to set up operations. Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis, Jason O'Mara, Carrie-Anne Moss. Interesting cast, but I'm not sold on the drama-western. Airs Tuesdays starting September 25.
Arrow - The Green Arrow finally gets his own show. I'm not really a fan of The CW since they ruined Veronica Mars, but I'll attempt to watch this one. Airs Wednesdays starting October 10.
Chicago Fire - The name tells you all you need to know. It's a drama, set in a fire station, set in Chicago. My expectations for this one are high, but that's because I loved Rescue Me so much. Since this one's on NBC, I doubt it will be anything close to Rescue Me. So, DVR it is. Airs Wednesdays starting October 10.
Elementary - A contemporary update of Sherlock Holmes and set in New York City. They've also updated Watson to be female (Lucy Liu). I went to see a movie at the cinema, and they had a five-minute preview for this one before the trailers. I wasn't too psyched about the show until I saw that segment. Now I'm interested, and will be checking in on this one. Airs Thursdays starting September 27.
Returning Shows
Doctor Who - Okay, so this show already started. I'm holding off for a few episodes to be on the DVR before catching up on them all at once. Airs Saturdays.
Alphas - Already returned on SyFy and airs on Mondays.
The Walking Dead - October 14 is way too far away.
Castle - It has Nathan Fillion. Of course I'm watching it. It airs the same time as Revolution. Decisions, decisions. Returns Monday, September 24.
How I Met Your Mother - I know quite a few people have given up on this show for dragging things out too long. To be honest, I can understand that sentiment. However, I've already invested seven seasons into this show, and there's room on the DVR. I really hope they don't renew it past nine seasons. Returns Monday, September 24.
Parks and Recreation - Should be a great fifth season. Airs Thursdays starting September 20.
Community - I'll watch it, but they've been losing my interest since season two. It had a few good moments in season two and three, but I've been distracted while watching. Moves to Fridays returning October 19.
So, what are you watching?

I will most certainly check out REVOLUTION. That's probably the only new show I will watch this Fall, but can't wait for new spring epic shows.
The pilot for Revolution aired the other day. I'll give it a few more episodes, but thought there were a few too many plot holes.
I mostly watch HBO. But the kids love Glee and Modern Family, so we tune into those as well.
Revolution sounds great. And there's one reason I'll be watching Arrow: John Barrowman. That's right, Captain Jack Harkness is supposed to have a reoccurring role, at least that's what I've heard.
I'll be watching NCIS and Big Bang Theory! Woo hoo! Also looking forward to Elementary. The original Vegas with Robert Urich as private detective Dan Tanna was pretty good. Not sure how the re-tooled version with Dennis Quaid will turn out.
Doctor Who? The new series is in Britain now, not sure when it hits the US...
I'll be checking out the CW line up, lol.
Oh! And counting down the days till Walking Dead comes back on.
we'll be hitting Revolution and Elementary (have to get my sherlock holmes fix somehow now that i have no more House). Otherwise i'm super excited about the last season of Fringe (LOVE IT) and am looking forward to Haven, Bones and i'm sure a few others i just can't think of off the top of my head
I saw an add for some show called Once Upon a Time, at least I think that's what it was. Anyway it looked good!
Some good TV this year. Revolutions is the one I'm looking forward to.
Revolution is already on my check it out list. Thanks for reminding me about Arrow. I'm mainly into returning shows like Grimm (LOVE IT - hate the new intro though), Haven, Vampire Diaries and of course The Walking Dead. Can't wait.
Favorite shows:
Episodes
Dexter
Homeland
Boardwalk Empire
Game of Thrones
MadMen
Girls
Mostly HBO and Showtime programming.
Parks and Rec and Dr Who are definitely on my list. :)
I am Fillion fan myself. And Elementary is a US remake of a popular British show on the BBC called Sherlock. Check that out instead of the watered down US version.
Sons of Anarchy premieres next week. I can't wait. I've watched the first four seasons twice.
Others are: Homeland, Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time, 30 Rock, Fringe, Parks & Rec.
I'll be trying out the Mindy Project, Revolution and catching up on Boardwalk Empire and MadMen. And, I'll be watching the first few episodes of Nashville just for a laugh since I live in Nashville.
And don't laugh, but I'll be watching Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl. My guilty indulgences.
Wow, that's a lot of tv. I don't have a social life.
I'm kind of curious to see Revolution. It looks like a combination of FlashForward and the Hunger Games. Interesting.
We're huge Walking Dead fans so we're on countdown for October14th. I'm also excited for the second season of American Horror Story to start on October 17th.
I plan on watching Revolution and Elementary, too...
Revolution sounds awesome - I do love dystopian.
I am a serious Sherlock Holmes fan and generally don't like it being messed with. The new one on the BBC is okay, though.
Love love love Dr. Who!
Thanks for the heads-up, Joshua:)
When is Big Bang Theory and Once Upon A Time coming back on?! I've been waiting for new episodes for forever!
Can't wait for Castle to start... and of course, for them to release the second season of Game Of Thrones on DVD. (Since I'm too cheap for HBO)
I'm interested in Elementary (as you may have guessed from my Sherlock Holmes post :P)--curious if it will compare at all to the BBC's Sherlock.
Looking forward to Elementary and the return of Castle! (And hopefully, to the return of the BBC's modern day Sherlock... unless he really did splat on the sidewalk in that last episode.)
I still need to get in on Castle, if for nothing else than the Firefly references!

Revolution sounds interesting indeed. I have no hopes of getting to see it the legal way though (we'll see how they solve this Netflix and HBO Nordic and every other service that's coming to Sweden this autumn).
Also, I absolutely adore The Walking Dead.
Which I of course, don't get to see the legal way.
I live in the wrong country.
How can you not watch Doctor Who as soon as it comes on?! It makes me anxious to think about doing that. I've not heard of Revolution. I'm really curious about it now. I'm going to give Arrow and Elementary a try too, but I'm skeptical.
I am excited for so many shows! Too many to name here.
I love Fall for this reason!
I haven't seen any Community yet. I have been dying to watch it ever since Neil Gaiman said he likes it
:-)
I cant stand the How I Met Your Mother show.
