ARRR!!!

Public Domain!!!
Seein' that it be International Talk Like A Pirate Day, me brain, 'tain't runnin' the way it should. It be longin' for the wind in me sails and a good bottle o' rum. Who be up for a trip to Tortuga? Maybe Singapore? Let's find some sea turtles! And really bad eggs!

Oh, and since it's Talk Like A Pirate Day, if you go to Krispy Kreme and talk like a pirate, you get a free donut. If you dress like a pirate, you get a free dozen.

Truth be told, my brain is tired. I'd intended to get some writing done last night, but a three-year-old boy wouldn't go to sleep for over an hour past his bedtime. Trust me, that was one exhausting hour. Combined with the fact that this morning made five of the last six days exercising, third day in a row getting up early for work and riding the stationary bike for half an hour. It's all about the give and take; the enough time and energy to do one thing, but not two.

I'm wanting to be done with the first draft of this WIP by the end of the month and get some people to read it. Maybe take a few weeks to come up with an idea and make notes for NaNo, which is only six weeks away.

Anyone getting their free donut? Anyone going for the free dozen? Who's participating in NaNo this year?

I heard about the donut thing on the radio this morning...I'm not that desperate for a Krispy Kreme, but I did think about it!

Don't have Krispy Kreme here.
I don't usually do NaNo but someday would like to. Maybe.

Every time I try to talk like a pirate I end up doing a Scottish accent. Am I doing it wrong?

No Krispy Kreme near us... dammit. But, I suppose that's for the better because I'm trying to get my MILF pants back on.

I'm participating in NaNo this year.

Fuck sleep.

Sounds like you and I are on the exact same plan. I'm pushing as hard as life will allow to have my draft done by mid October and am participating in NaNo, and I've got a really fun idea for that, so it's keeping me motivated to move it.

Good luck with yours.

I had no idea. Might not be a great idea to talk like a pirate at work. I might fit in too well with the clients. That free donut is tempting ... :)

Free donut? I never pass up Krispy Kreme. Good luck finishing your draft. It truly shocked me to read that NaNo is only six weeks away. It seems like summer just ended. Congrats on sticking with an early morning exercise routine. God, how I wish I could turn into an early morning person.

Hmm...really? A free donut at Krispy Kreme? It's very tempting to find a pirate costume. :)

If it was Dunkin Donuts, I'd think about it.

Chicago runs on Dunkin. I think there's a KK somewhere downtown, but I have no real idea where.

MMMMM...donuts. And pirates.

No donuts in the UK for pirates, sadly :(

I'm tempted to do NaNo; I failed miserably when I first attempted it, maybe it's time I gave it another shot.

According to one of our local newscasts, a few people tried to make it to Krispy Kreme dressed like pirate...
