A full five seconds of time passes.
"Shit."
In other news, it seems that a short story I wrote took a first place scoring in this contest. So...that's about all I know. It will be published in a short anthology, but I don't have the details yet. The gravity of such a thing still hasn't sunk in yet. I'll let you know when it does. And, of course, any other details as I get them. So...there's that.
But back to the A-to-Z, we're in the home stretch! Just this week and next Monday to go.
T is for Time Travel Convention.
Mom and Dad bought this one for me without my asking for it. I've trained them well.
If the mentioned song is stuck in your head now, I did something right.
I can't remember who made this design, but it was one of those "Shirt of the Day" things.
*License: I took these pictures.

Congratulations on winning the contest! Keep us posted.
Hate mornings like that. I'd utter the same word.
Now, party on, dude!
i want one too. =)
A huge congratulations on your win and pending publication. Now we can all say, "I read his stuff back when he was a humble blogger, back before he sold out."
Alex - If by "party on" you mean "be at work" then yes, I am.
Eolist - And you still can right here.
Pickleope - You know me too well.
Do you own more Dr. Who shirts than any other kind?
Cassie - Most definitely. I know, shocker, right?
No way! Congratulations! That is AWESOME!!
Cora - Yes way! Sorry...I couldn't resist.
That is awesome!! Congrats :) I can't wait to hear more about all this.
No way! I totally have a Bill and Ted-Doctor Who mash-up picture on my blog today, too. Yours is most excellent! :)
Oh wow, congratulations :)!
And as always, awesome shirt!
This is definitely one awesome show. And this shirt is hilarious, as is your lock screen.
But that's really amazing about your short story. When you get the details about the anthology you need to post them so we can all go check it out!
Whoo-hooooooo! That's really awesome! Congrats! Keep us updated on the details - I wanna read it! :D
I've always enjoyed time travel. Some of those dinosaurs were so cute. I can't remember exactly when it is--I think it's about the 23rd or 24th century--when we...but I don't want to spoil the surprise!!
I WANT to read your story!
Congratulations! Hurray for you! Plus, awesome shirt.
I never admit that I don't watch Doc, because I'm afraid someone will jack my nerd card.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures! The best movie in the world! Now I must watch it again. Thank you. ;)
By the way, congratulations!!
Congrats on your win!!!
Also, now i'm going to have said song in my head all day
I would attend any convention held in the Tardis! Also, congrats on the short story!
I see the ghost face! And congrats on coming first! Really cool T-shirt. And, man, it SUCKS when you think it's a weekend and it's not! Not too bad if it's a Friday, but a Monday? Yeah. Bad.
Congratulations on winning the contest! I hope many more will follow.
From Diary of a Writer in Progress
Holy mackerel, first out of nearly 37,000 entries! That's amazing. I hope to hear more about this story.
Congratulations on the contest win!
1) FIRST PLACE!!!? Congratulations. Please keep us posted.
2) Who invented 5:30 in the morning?! Bad, bad, bad idea.
3) I do love Doctor Who:)
I wake up like that everyday. Only youngest is 10, so he comes in, hugs me and goes out to the living room to watch TV.
Doesn't help that my ONE day to sleep in was spent camping out at Plimouth Plantation with 40 of his cub scout friends. Good times, good times.
Like the tee shirt. Good concept. Blog on!

Your parents are awesome! I went to that convention, there wasn't any cake so I left :)
Sweet! Congratulations on the short story!!!!!
TGFN - Me, too!
David - You weren't lying. Yours was totally excellent.
Annika - Thank you, on both.
S.L. - I absolutely will. It will be later this year, probably in the fourth quarter. Lots to do.
Jaycee - You'll get your chance. :o)
fishducky - Wait...what?!
Christine - I really thought I was still asleep when I read the email Saturday morning.
Matthew - Nah. It's not for everyone. Because if they had to take yours for not watching Doctor Who, I'd lose mine for not having watched Battlestar Galactica yet.
Emily - True Story: Like me, mom & dad name their cars, and Dad had a truck they named Rufus after the George Carlin character from Bill & Ted.
Sarah - Sorry about that. (And any time I say that or write it, I hear Hagrid's voice.)
Libby - If they held a convention in the TARDIS, I'd never leave.
Rachel - It's been an...okay week. Just okay.
Gina - I hope for more, too.
Colleen - I wish it was 37K. I'd be losing my mind!
inluvwithwords - Why thank you, thank you very much. (And yes, I heard Elvis when I wrote that.)
Lady Gwen - I will. Thank you.
Juli - I won't complain because camping sounds awesome to me.
Francene - Yes, do blog on.
Anna - No cake? They lied?!
Hope - Thank you, lady.
Congrats!!
Raine - Thank you, thank you.
